The Retirement of a Legend – Leonard Meckley
Meck-Tech, Inc. and Diversified Construction, Inc. announce the retirement of J. Leonard Meckley, P.L.S. Congratulations on a job well done! Leonard has been the founder and president for both companies since their inception in 1997 and 2000, respectively. Prior to 1997, he and a partner were the original owners of Survey Services, Inc., dating that company to 1971. His career began in 1962, upon graduation from Sunbury High School. For eight years he worked in the PennDOT design squad room in Montoursville, while working on, studying for, and obtaining his Professional Surveyor’s license. That’s a total of 56 years of experience, spent entirely in the Central Susquehanna Valley! His wisdom, experience, and knowledge of the area is unmatched (It just seems as though everyone knows Leonard Meckley). He plans to continue working part time at the office, but don’t count on catching him there. He will be working on what he wants to work on, when he wants to work. Retirement is a beautiful thing. Leonard has been happily married to Sharon for 52 years, has three children and eight grandchildren.
